I love this movie.I once watched it everynight for a week, and still laughed. It is so goofy, yet so sophisticated. It is fun to go through and pick out references to the original This is a very good movie people It is in my top ten Oh and for the people who think this generation doesnt love it. 'Im am thirteen baby. And I love it(but realy,do i love it) but then again Im the exception that proves the point lol. If you haven't seen it,you realy need to .It will make you laugh,it will make you cry,and maybe, just maybe, teach you a little something about yourself. oh and prepare to be humming the transylvanian lullaby song that gene wilder plays. Smile.God loves you

The Hallmark presentation of Frankenstein does the book justice although not in the same ways. All the themes of Mary Shelley's masterpiece are still portrayed, some to an even more extension. One theme that is clearly exemplified is that only God can create life and other than that nothing has a soul or can receive one. Constantly the monster is seen around signs of Christ. People seek sanction from him in t he church. The monster is seen reading the bible when at the DeLaceys' house. A child was added to the story and this was an unnecessary change. The child does show the importance of god creating life as well as where people come from and the presence of God. The Creature is portrayed as a little more remorseful and sentimental. He also isn't as much of a hideous creature as described in the novel. He's a little more kind and compassionate toward victor. There is more of a sense of feeling sorry fro the creature. He isn't quite the violent character he was in the book. He is fulfilled though in his motives and ideals. The portrayal of his sense of belonging nowhere and longing for a family is spot on. He displays all the themes of the creature in the book. All in all, the movie was okay. For people who cherish the book or have just plain read it, the movie might not be as fulfilling, although it is one of the most accurate to the book. Yet the movie does deserve credit, the movie does its best, the language and framing devices of the book are so creative that they are hard to express correctly when not on paper. The movie is long and suspenseful. Taking into account all the difficulties of putting such a great work of literature onto the big screen, this interpretation deserves a thumbs up!

There is nothing that is not funny about this movie. I laugh ever time!
