Miss Congeniality
Starring: Sandra Bullock, Benjamin Bratt, William Shatner, Candice Bergen
Review Summary
"Tomboy FBI agent Grace Hart is not happy when she has to go undercover at a Beauty Pageant to catch the infamous criminal 'The Citizen', but she soon makes friends and starts to discover her feminine side."
--Megan Westley, Resident Miss Congeniality Scholar

"Miss Congeniality is the story of a not too attractive FBI agent who goes undercover to catch a criminal in a beauty pageant, and she finds love where she least expects it."
--Samone Carreker, Resident Miss Congeniality Scholar

"Agent Gracie Hart must join in the Miss United States Pageant because it has been rigged. "
--kaity loder, Resident Miss Congeniality Scholar

"Tomboy FBI agent Bullock has to undergo a serious makeover to go undercover at a national beauty pageant to find a potential bomber. Benjamin Bratt is her colleague and operations boss, with whom some animosity and romantic sparks are generated. This movie resembles 1999's "Drop Dead Gorgeous" in some respects, especially Candice Bergen as a bitter, aging beauty queen in a role Kirstie Alley played to the savage hilt in the earlier film. This one is more gentle, less blackly comic. Michael Caine is hilarious and lovely as a poofy fashion consultant who has to bring Bullock up to snuff, William Shatner terrific as the overripe and aging host of the show, and relative newcomer Heather Burns delightful as air-headed Miss Rhode Island (majoring in nuclear engineering with a specialty in particle physics). A hoot while it lasts but eminently forgettable."
--David Loftus, Resident Miss Congeniality Scholar

"A cop goes undercover at a Miss USA beauty pageant to catch a killer. The problem is, she isn't exactly beauty pageant material."
--Diane, Resident Miss Congeniality Scholar
