| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Addams Family Values |
There's a new addition to the Addams Family: the infant Pubert. Wednesday and Pugsley are jealous and try to kill the baby, and Wednesday suspects the new nanny, Debbie Jellinsky (Cusack), has nefarious designs. She does, in fact, because she's the serial killer the Black Widow, and seeks to entrap Uncle Fester into marriage to get his money. Wednesday and Pugsley are packed off to summer camp, where they have to participate in all kinds of distasteful activities, although Wednesday meets her first boyfriend. This 1993 sequel to the 1991 film features many familiar faces in the supporting cast, including Peter MacNicol, Christine Baranski (both counselors at Camp Chippewa), David Krumholtz, Nathan Lane, Peter Graves, David Hyde Pierce, and Tony Shalhoub.

The Addams have a new arrival in the family, and Fester has a new girlfriend. That's typically the plot of this dull sequel. Thinking the children should light up a little, Debbie (Fester's girlfriend) sends them to summer camp, and Wednesday cracks her first smile.

The adventures of the Addams family continue, as Gomez and Mortitia have a new baby, and therefore hire a new nanny. The new nanny, who becomes "enchanted" with Uncle Fester. She is in reality, the black widow, who marries rich men and then kills them. Besides this, Wednesday and Pugsley are sent to a preppie camp...see what happens!
