| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Opera |
OPERA is a movie written, produced and directed by Dario Argento in 1987.
Betty is a young opera singer who's got the chance of her life when the female lead singer of Verdi's Macbeth is injured in a car accident the day before the first show. Her performance is great but her boyfriend is savagely stabbed before her very eyes in the same night. A violent killer is after her and forces her to watch every murder he will commit on the next days. The handsome police inspector Santini decides to place her under protection.
Superb giallo with a Dario Argento in top form. Recommended.
