Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Le Cercle Rouge
LE CERCLE ROUGE (sometimes translated as The Red Circle in english speaking countries) is a movie written and directed by Jean-Pierre Melville in 1970.

Vogel manages to escape from the police's hands while being transferred by train. Superintendant Mattei launches a manhunt but Vogel is saved by Corey who's just been released from prison. Both men become friends and execute an audacious theft in a jewellery in the company of an ex-cop, the marksman Jansen. Meanwhile, thanks to his informers, Inspector Mattei organizes a trap meant to catch the three robbers.
