Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Flowers for Algernon
Charlie Gordon is a mentally retarded man. He gets made fun of by his coworkers and he has no friends. One day he gets selected for an experiment to make him smarter. He finally understands that peaple make fun of him. The experiment makes him into a genious and he falls in love with Alice Kinian. Suddenly, the lab mouse that they first tested Charlie's experiment died, and they think it is from the experiment. Charlie starts to become dumber and dumber as the doctors figure out how to keep him alive.
