Joe is an Iowa boy who just moved to the city. After getting mugged, he needs to find a cheap apartmen. He finds one when an old lady dies and he says that he is her son. After being in the house for a while he discover that there are thousands of talking, singing, dancing roaches infesting his apartment. He then meets a girl while trying to get a job. He then tries to keep both while the roaches continually pester him.
