Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Abandon
Cartherine Burke (Holmes) is a senior in college and she's under intense pressure to complete her thesis and ace an interview with a prestigious firm. Detective Wade Handler (Bratt) begins an investigation into the two year disappearance of her boyfriend, Embry Langan (Hunnam), a man whose memory both haunts and obsesses her. When Catherine sees Embry quite suddenly on the campus and he begins following her, her fear and paranoia get the best of her and she turns to the police detective for comfort. They begin a relationship but Catherine finds herself still haunted by her love for Embry and full of questions about why he left years before and has now returned.
