| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Countess Dracula (1970) |
The aged Countess Elisabeth (Ingrid Pitt) has discovered that bathing in a young girl's blood can restore her youth and sexuality. Enamored by a handsome army officer (Sandor Eles), the countess arranges for the kidnapping of her own daughter (Lesley-Anne Down). Posing as her daughter, she seduces the young man. Her transformations, however, prove to be short-lived. She needs more blood. Her steward (Nigel Green) entices a prostitute (Andrea Lawrence) to the castle, but her blood proves ineffective. The countess seeks advice from a scholar (Maurice Denham).
