| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Absence of the Good (TV) |
ABSENCE OF THE GOOD is a production developed for HBO and directed by John Flynn in 1999.
Five weeks ago, Caleb and Mary Barnes have lost their only son, accidentally killed at school by a friend. Caleb, a rather introvert policeman, concentrates on his work while Mary is taking to excess sleeping pills in order to forget her sorrow. In the meantime, a serial killer is visiting the houses he lives in when he was a child and kills everyone crossing his path. Caleb becomes soon obsessed by this case while Mary is brought to the hospital after an overdose.
