Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The Package
THE PACKAGE is a movie directed by Andrew Davis (The Fugitive) in 1989.

As the U.S.A. and the U.S.S.R. have just signed a treaty requiring the destruction of their mutual nuclear weapons, Sgt. Johnny Gallagher is asked to transfer the soldier Walter Henke from Berlin to Arlington. At the airport, Henke escapes and disappears. With the help of his ex-wife and a Chicago policeman, Gallagher will try to find his prisoner whose real name is Boyette, a professional hitman hired by governmental subgroups. Gallagher will finally understand that Boyette's mission is to kill the Soviet leader Mikhael Gorbachev during his stay in Chicago.
