| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Avenging Angelo |
AVENGING ANGELO is a film directed by Martyn Burke in 2001.
For years, Angelo, an old Don of the NYC mob, and his bodyguard Frankie Delano have secretly observed every moves of Jennifer Barrett, Angelo's daughter. Fearing a vendetta, Angelo had trusted baby Jennifer to an american married couple who've raised his daughter.
Now, Angelo has just been murdered by a hitman of the Malatesta family and Frankie goes straight to Jennifer in order to explain the situation to her and to protect the young woman. Jennifer is at first doubtful of Frankie's explanations but, after a few attempts made by the Malatestas to kill her, she starts to have confidence in her new bodyguard. She's also soon convinced that the only way to avenge Angelo and to stop the vendetta against her is to kill the old Malatesta. Frankie is also in love with her.
