| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Uncovered |
Kate Beckinsale plays Julia, an art restorer. She is thrown into a murder mystery while restoring an art work that had been in a family for 500 years and was to be put on auction. The painting is two men playing chess while a woman watches. While cleaning the paint, Julia decides she needs to get some infrared scans done to redo the work properly and finds a concealed message in Latin under part of the paint. She also notices the original painting had the men playing cards. As Julia begins trying to figure out what this means, dead bodies begin popping up and each time someone dies, an ivory chess piece is left in front of her door. The clue in the form of the hidden message and the chess game are the answers to this puzzle.
