Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The First Wives Club
Annie is a middle-aged woman going through therapy to try to reconnect to her separated husband. She attends the funeral of an old college friend of hers who committed suicide after her husband left her for a younger woman. After the funeral, she meets up with the other two members of her college clique, Brenda and Elise. The three women realize that all of them have husbands who are leaving them and cheating on them with younger women. They helped build their husbands' careers and now they will be left with nothing. They decide to take justice into their own hands and dig up dirt on their husbands to make them pay.
