Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Serenity
Malcom Reynolds is the captain of the spaceship Serenity. He takes a doctor and his disturbed sister River on board, unaware that an Alliance operative is after River. Her brother had broken her out of a lab that sought to use her for her psychic capabilities. Now they want her back because her powers gave her access to all the governments secrets while at the lab.

In an uncharacteristically unselfish move, Mal decides to harbor River from the Alliance, and in the process, he and his crew set out to discover the mystery behind the government's cover-up about the vicious Reavers, monsters that plague the edges of the universe.
