| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Weatherman |
Dave Spritz, the local weatherman in his hometown of Chicago, is loved and hated by people. He has often gotten food and/or drinks thrown at his head while walking in the city. Although he is not completely liked by everyone, he is very successful in his job.
However, his personal life is a mess. His father, that really knows what buttons to push, is dying, his not-so-bright kids hardly know him. and his wife hates his guts. Trying to cope with everything in his life, he tried to reconcile with his father and make him proud. After learning about his heavy daughter getting picked on by the type of clothing she wears, he takes her shopping and tries to get her a hobby that will fit with her needs. Finally realizing that he spends no time with his son and that they hardly know each other, he really tries to put aside time to be with him as he tries to pull his family together and become a more mature, responsible adult.
