| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about 18 Again! |
81-year-old Jack Watson is full of life, enoying the company of beautiful women, has a outgoing personality and to top it all; a all around funny guy. Celebrating his own birthday party before blowing out his candle, he makes a wish to be a young man he once was all over again. His grandson David Watson reminded him of reliving the age 18. He is also favored the most by Jack unlike his unappreciative son that doesn't like to bond with his Jack often. Eighteen year old David is a reserved young man that is not outgoing like most of his peers around his age group. He is in first year of college and it is a continuation of high school teasing, his older fraternity brothers make a mockery of the introverted youngster, he is in love with pretty girl Robyn who he dreams of being with and also has a hard time to keeping up with his track team.
After the birthday party, Jack along with his David stops by a fast food joint. Leaving the place and on their way home, Jack loses focus on the road briefly as his mind was on something else and he caused a terrible accident. The moment of that accident, Jack switched by bodies with his grandson and vice versa, leaving Jack like David, while David is injured-free and has the mindset of his lovable grandfather.
It is up until now David seems to take on a whole new persona than his own, as he speak up against those that often misunderstood him, including his parents that often wondered what was wrong of their son. The college teen even holds a Roaring Twenties theme party at college, where sparks fly between David andRobyn. With the transformation between Jack and David, Jack is able to live out his dream of being 18 again.
