Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Die Harder
When picking up his wife in a Washington D.C. airport, John McClane(Bruce Willis) has yet another run-in with terrorists on Christmas Eve. This time, the corrupt General Stewart and his small group of terrorists have taken control of the planes in the sky by cutting off communication between the tower and the planes and the terrorists are the only ones who can talk to the planes. They have ordered the planes to circle in their outer marker, and John must stop the terrorists before the his wife (Bonnie Bedelia)'s planes drops from lack of fuel.
--Brian Sager, Resident Scholar

Bruce Willis returns as John McClane, who this time must foil a terrorist attempt to take control over an airport to rescue a druglord from being imprisoned. It's up to McClane to set things right, with the police chief (Dennis Franz) giving him nothing but grief and his wife (Bonnie Bedelia) trapped on board one of the 747 passenger planes unable to land and slowly running out of fuel.
