| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Wayne's World |
Wayne (Mike Myers) and Garth (Dana Carvey) do a public access television show from Wayne's basement. As the show's popularity grows, it is sponsored by a large arcade chain. The higher ups then want Wayne's little cable access show to become something much more commercial, and this becomes a problem. Also, Wayne tries to impress a girl rocker (Tia Carrera) and get rid of his annoying ex-girlfriend, Stacy (Lara Flynn Boyle).

Wayne may not be overly bright, is completely preoccupied with the party lifestyle and is unable to hold down a steady job, but he's a realist and knows his dreams of making something out of his show are pretty far-fetched. But when a TV executive decides to produce the show, Wayne's dreams become a reality. Fame and fortune have a way of changin people, and Wayne is no exception. He really has to get proactive in order to salvage his friendship with Garth, get back his girlfriend and find out what he's really meant to do with his life.

When it boils down to it, this is a light hearted take of the film industry with a romantic sub-plot between Wayne (Mike Myers) and his gal Cassandra. The story displays the hilarity of growing up and how a young, naive person attempts to lighten the situatuon with humour, which is also used as a root for revenge.

Two friends embark on a magicaly journey into...NOT! This is a comical movie about two friends, Wayne Campbell and Garth Algar, who own a late night public access tv show. But when a sneaky producer makes a sweet offer, it's up to Wayne and Garth to get this mess untangled and back ontrack. Excellent! Party Time!

This movie is about 2 guys, (wayne and garth), who have their own local cable access show on tv. They are dirt poor and need money any way they can get it, so when a network offers to buy the show for $5,000 they accept, and the network changes the show into something that Wayne and Garth do not want it to be.
There is also a side plot of Wayne and his girlfriend Cassandra and their relationship problems.

Not a very outstanding performance, but still betters Myer's latter hits as Austin Powers.
