| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Unbreakable |
With "The Sixth Sense," writer-director M. Night Shyamalan burst suddenly into the Hollywood big-time. His followup, "Unbreakable," is not quite as good -- a tricky, almost comic-book plot with the same nuanced performance by Bruce Willis, a little boy character (decently played by Spencer Treat Clark), and shocker ending. Willis is a university security guard in Philadelphia who miraculously survives a commuter train wreck. Samuel L. Jackson owns a comic book art dealership and is apparently Willis's brittle, accident-prone alter ego. Jackson helps Willis face his peculiar destiny, which is somehow entwined with his own.

Bruce Willis plays David Dunn, who is in a train wreck, everyone but he is killed and ....there's not a scratch on him. Samuel L. Jackson tries to help Willis find the answer to this mystery and help him realize WHO HE REALLY IS? A shocking conclusion as usual from the Sixth Sense director...this one is worth seeing, but keep an open mind.
