Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Waterloo Bridge
The finest of Vivien Leigh's movies, her own favorite. She plays Myra Lester, a ballet dancer who falls in love with captain Roy Cronin during the first world war. When he travels to France she loses her job and can't support herself. Perhaps the sadest film I ever saw. Superb performances by Leigh and Taylor. Very sentimental.
