In this wonderful film featuring Jimmy Stewart and Josephine Hull, the kind Elwood P. Dowd goes through life with his best friend by his side. This drives his sister Veta Louise crazy as his best friend happens to be a six-foot tall rabbit named Harvey that only Elwood can see. As Veta attempts to cure her brother of Harvey in order to get her daughter married off a hilarious turn of events see's Veta admitted to the very mental hospital she was trying to get Elwood in.

James Stewart as Elwood P. Dowd, the man whose best friend is Harvey, an imaginable six-foot English-speaking invisible rabbit! Based upon Mary Chase's play of the same name, the film version is a charmer, as is Stewart. Innocence has never been so quaintly portrayed! Naturally, friends and relatives of Dowd are disturbed and make an attempt to see that he is "straightened out." Clever and sophisticated, this black and white film is well worth the time!
