Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The Holcroft Covenant
Noel Holcroft (Michael Caine) has been handed four billion dollars--a legacy indeed from his late father. Not so simple, though. There is the "Holcroft Covenant"--a pact that was designed to help make up for the evil caused by the Nazis in the Second World War. Violence, violence everywhere. His mother is gunned down! Something is very very rotten in this state and Noel is fast caught up in trying to solve this mystery. Based upon the Robert Ludlum novel, naturally, part of the intrigue concerns the continuation of the Nazi struggle--through various neo-Nazi organizations. Chaos, panic, anarchy--all the objectives of this sinister organization that Noel must face--and somehow eliminate!
--Bill Hobbs, Resident Scholar
