A man dies in his lab one night and his secret invention is stolen. The man's daughter, also a scientist, is determined to find out who killed him. A bumbling security guard (Matthew Broderick) suffers a severe accident while trying to help her. When he comes to in the hospital, he finds his body has been replaced by a highly sophisticated machine that will turn him into the perfect crime fighter.
