Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Bound
If Thelma and Louise were lesbians, and got away with their deeds, you'd have “Bound.” Corky (Gershon), who prefers the “James Dean look,” is handy at plumbing and carpentry as well as crime. Violet (Tilly), the beauty next door, lives symbiotically with mobster Caesar (Pantoliano), “they don't call it ‘Mafia' anymore; it's just ‘the business.'” Violet seduces Corky in a beautiful love scene which leads to a scheme to steal “$2.176 million” of mob money, a plan based largely on trust and their growing love for each other. But when Violet makes a tactical blunder, all bets are off as Caesar fears mob retribution and everyone involved showing up with a gun (or at least one torture device). But, thinking as one, Corky and Violet prove more quick-witted than the men.

Corky (Gina Gershon) is an ex-con with a knack for theft. Violet (Jennifer Tilly) is the girlfriend of mob money launderer Ceasar (Joe Pantoliano). Violet, whose talent is seduction, seduces Corky and convinces her to steal two million dollars from the mob. Through their twisted love story, you see the great trust the women had for each other and their search for a new purpose in life.
--TJ, Resident Scholar

A young woman named Corky (GERSHON)is renovating an apartment in a Mafia owned building, when she is seduced by Violet (TILLY), the wife of mob-man Ceasar(PANTOLIANO)next door. They plot to steal two million dollars from the mob.
