This is about an older brother (Nicholas Cage) who had been a car thief with scruples but left that life so that his younger brother would not follow in his footsteps. The younger brother, unfortunately, went into the same criminal field and was at risk of being killed. The older brother, who had cleaned up his act, was called back to save his sibling's life.
He had to call up the old gang and, because of their love for Nicholas Cage's character, they willingly helped him. The movie was also about the relationship of Cage's character and the police officer who had both pursued and admired this retired criminal with a heart.
