| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Lethal Weapon |
Martin Riggs (Gibson) is a Vietnam vet (a former special ops soldier), who is now a drugs cop. He is transfered to homicide and teamed up with Roger Murtaugh (Glover). The two investigate the death of a young woman who dives off a building. It transpires that the girl was killed because her father is involved in drugs smuggling.
This is no ordinary drugs gang though. It is run by former special forces soldiers, who will stop at nothing to protect their operation. But when the kidnapp Murtaugh's daughter, they go too far. Riggs and Murtaugh forget they are cops and go after the soldiers.

Two cops join forces to break up a drug ring. This is a fast-paced action film from beginning to end, with lots of shoot-em-up scenes, exploding buildings and violent confrontations. The film was so hugely successful that it was followed by three sequels. The action is on par with that of the Die Hard and Bad Boys films. There's also brilliant chemistry between Glover and Gibson.
