| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Guys and Dolls |
Guys and Dolls has a lot of romance. It also has a lot of singing and dancing. It's by far one of the better musicals I've ever seen.

With Inspector Brannigan hot on his trail, gambler Nathan Detroit is having a hard time finding a suitable locale for his crap game. In the meantime, bigshot Sky Masterson has a hard time finding a doll to take to Havana. So happens that Miss Sarah Brown is finding it equally difficult to find some lost sinners to come to her save-a-soul mission on Broadway. Somehow their paths cross in this hilarious, toe-tapping musical based on Damon Runyan's characters.

Nathan Detroit needs $1000 to set up the big anticipated crap game. He bets Sky Masterson that he can't get mission worker Sarah Brown to Havana with him. Meanwhile Miss Brown needs sinners to come to her poorly performing mission, and Miss Adelaide, a hypochondriac, wants Nathan to marry her. Also, there's always the cop. Wonderful Frank Loesser score, Frank Sinatra singing, and Marlon Brando doing "Luck be a Lady Tonight..."
