Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Bonnie and Clyde
An ex con (Clyde) meets a woman (Bonnie) with whom he falls in love with. Together they rob banks and go on the run. Eventually they team up with Clyde's brother, his brother's wife, and another ordinary civilian to go on a crime spree. As they continue to rob banks they find it increasingly difficult, because the police are continually on their tails.
--Jack Bauer, Resident Scholar

Clyde Barrow (Warren Beatty) is a small time criminal who is looking to make big money and doesm't mind doing it with a gun. Bonnie Parker(Faye Dunaway) is an aggressive southern lass who has a burning ambition to break away from her soporific lifestyle. When they meet, sparks fly and they embark on a life of love - and crime - which starts with inocuous bank robberies but gradually assumes violent proportions. Together with Clyde's brother Buck(Gene Hackman), his wife Blanche(Estelle Parsons) - an unwilling accomplice - and a precocious youth named CW Moss(Pollard) they have shake up the country with a trail of cold blooded crimes.
--Biswa, Resident Scholar

This is a story of criminals on the run in the 1930's. There is romance as Bonnie falls in love and chooses a life of crime with robber Clyde.
A sad ending as the 'laws' catch up with them, but all in all a brilliant film.

--Megan Westley, Resident Scholar

This controversial film follows the crime spree of Bonnie and Clyde during the Depression-era West and Dustbowl. Violence never before seen on such a scale was one of its main components, not to mention subject matter and intermixing humor and graphic violence. A good date movie, except for the end.
