| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Doctor Dolittle 2 |
Dr. Dolittle (Eddie Murphy) is a famous veterinarian/doctor who can talk to animals. He encounters a female bear living in a forest that is about to be demolished. In order to save the forest and the bear he must convince a lazy circus bear to go out into the forest and mate with the female bear to preserve their species. The circus bear is reluctant to do this since he's accustomed to being fed and pampered, he doesn't want to give up the luxuries he has for the wilderness. Dr. Dolittle enlists the aid of his family and forms a closer bond with his oldest daughter in the process.
