Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Stolen Kisses
STOLEN KISSES is a movie cowritten and directed by François Truffaut in 1968. The movie won the Prix Louis Delluc the same year.

Paris, France. Antoine Doinel has just been released from the army, he is simply psychologically unfit for it. His friends, the Darbon family, finds a job for him as an hotel night supervisor but the naive Antoine is cheated by a private investigator willing to surprise a client's wife in one of the rooms. Antoine loses his job but is hired by the investigator's agency. Meanwhile, Christine Darbon falls in love with him but Antoine is not ready for it. He's obsessed by his job and must now discover why Michael Lonsdale, a shoemaker, is not liked by his employees. Antoine, hired as a clerk in the shop, is seduced by Delphine Seyrig, Lonsdale's beautiful wife, who offers to Antoine the ability to fulfill his wildest dreams. After this experience, he may be receptive to Christine Darbon's faithful love.

Second full-length movie of the Antoine Doinel saga.
