Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Sheena
Sheena must protect the land where she grew up from a corrupt ruler. Using her special powers and with the help of a journalist (love interest) she will do all she can to save her home. This is a story of bravery, doing what has to be done, and romance.
--Rach.C, Resident Scholar

A pair of scientists are killed by a cave-in while exploring a mysterious African tribe, and their young daughter is taken in by the tribe when the shaman predicts she will be their savior. She teaches her how to communicate with animals and raises her as her own daughter. While the king wishes to protect these tribes, his brother wants to take the ancestral lands away for mining, thus destroying the idyllic land, so he has his brother killed. A reporter realizes that the prince was behind his brother's murder, and flees into the jungle. He meets Sheena, and they team up to try and save her people and themselves from the prince. However, they start to fall in love, and the reporter realizes that if word gets out about Sheena's people, their culture will be destroyed.
