| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil |
A beautiful film centering around the never-changing city of Savannah, Georgia. A true story, based on the novel by John Berent, Midnight in the Garden of Evil, is a spellbinding, romantic adventure. John Cuzack plays a New York reporter who comes to Savannah at the request of wealthy playboy (Jim Williams). Soon, Jim Williams is arrested and out on trial for murder for possibly killing an employee of his. As time continues however, the truth of what actually happened comes out, and Jim Williams will have to make one of the most important decisions of his life. Beautifully directed by Clint Eastwood, with a dynamic musical score, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil is a journey into the heart of the true south, which still exists, in Savannah Georgia
