Goodfellas is a true story of Henry Hill, an italin-irish wiseguy (mobster), and his life in the mob and his fall.
Great performances by Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci.
This movie shows the low-lifes, the dirty stuff in the mob, not the guys on top like the classic mafioso movie, The Godfather.

The movie is about Henry Hill, an Irish-Italian who gets mixed up with the mob at the age of 12, and who is in the mob for 30 years. His early life in the mob was glamorous, and full of good times. But when his two life-long friends and mafia partners (DeNiro and Pesci) kill a made man in Henry's bar, his life comes crashing down as he becomes a drug addict, goes to jail, Pesci is killed, and his boss (Paul Sorvino) and father figure is going to try to kill him as before he testifies about his mob connections. In the end, he ends up a regular nobody under the Witness Protection Agency.
