Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Astérix & Obélix : Mission Cléopâtre
Written and directed by Alain Chabat in 2001, ASTERIX & OBELIX : MISSION CLEOPÂTRE is a movie inspired by the well-known comic books of Goscinny & Uderzo.

Vexed by an arrogant Julius Caesar, Cleopatra bets that a superb palace dedicated to her and Caesar will be built in the egyptian desert in three months. She hires the architect Numérobis who goes straight to France in order to ask the Druid Panoramix to help him. Panoramix, in the company of Astérix and Obélix, sails to Alexandrie and, with the help of the magical potion that gives a super-strength to those who drink it, gives the power to finish the task to the numerous slaves hired by Numérobis. But Caesar doesn't accept the defeat and sends his army to the building site.

A very funny movie. Recommended.
