| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Three Kings |
After a peace treaty's been struck to end the fighting in the Persian Gulf, four soldiers, Archie, Troy, Chief and Conrad discover a map to a bunch of bunkers that house gold bulion stolen from Kuwait. The four men devise a plan to steal the gold without anyone knowing.
The Iraqi soldiers, more concerned about a rebel uprising, allow and even help the American soldiers steal the gold.
However, when an Iraqi soldier kills the rebel leader's wife, the Americans kill the Iraqis, breaking the peace treaty.
Another group of Iraqi soldiers are able to stop the Americans and take one of them, Troy, prisoner.
The other three Americans and their gold are saved by a group of rebels. The rebels agree to help rescue Troy for half of the gold and an escort to the border.
Troy is rescued, but during the rescue he's wounded and Conrad is killed.
The Americans give half of the gold to the rebel leader who passes it out to the rebels and bury the other half, planning to return for it later. They escort the rebels to the border, but the U.S. military shows up and arrests the three soldiers, allowing the rebels to be detained.
The soldiers agree to give up their gold if the rebels are freed and allowed across the border to Iran.
The soldiers are still arrested and charged, but after the story of them helping the rebels gets out, they're honorably discharged.

Staged after the end of the Gulf War, George Clooney suggests to a group of soldiers that they take off into the desert to steal millions in stolen iraqi gold. While in the desert they are brought into a civil war between opressed civilians, and iraqi soldiers who want to kill them. A well made movie, many interesting camera shots and good acting performances all around.
