Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Tron
Flynn, a talented programmer, is constantly trying to hack into his former employer's computer. He's kind of ticked off because the owner of the company, once his coworker, screwed him over by stealing his computer game program, made buttloads of money off it (which should have been Flynn's) and gave Flynn the boot when he took over the company. Flynn, understandably, would very much like to recover data files from the mainframe that will identify him as the game's true programmer. Now comes the interesting part: The computer where the data files are stored has become sentient, not to mention he's vain and evil and wants to take over the world. Since he hasn't had much luck hacking from the outside, Flynn, with the help of his ex-girlfriend and her new romatic interest, breaks into his old computer lab tries hacking from there. Then Flynn is inadvertanly sucked into the computer by a laser that turns real objects into computer programs. There Flynn joins forces with Tron, a security program, and together they vanquish the evil computer and recover the data files.

Super-hacker Flynn is transported inside a corporation's computer network to do battle with the Master Control Program and its champion program Sark, as the MCP prepares to assume control of government and military computers. Inspired special effects continue to stand up against modern advances.
