Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Detroit Rock City
Four determined teenage guys love the band KISS so much that they will go through anything to see them in concert after Jam's (Sam Huntington) religious mother burns their tickets. All four get caught up in an array of events such as being held at gunpoint to stripping in a bar. This movie has definitly caught the pains of growing up and escaping degrading parents.
--Emily, Resident Scholar

Hawk, Trip, Lex and Jam are 4 Ohio teens who just happen to be the world's biggest KISS fans. Having tickets to see KISS in Detroit, their dreams are about to come true. Until Jam's religious KISS-despising mother finds the tickets, burns them, and sends Jam to boarding school to keep him in line. All this aside, the teens are determined to see KISS if it's the last thing they do. Will they gain admittance to the concert of a lifetime, and who will they meet along their road trip there?
