| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The Paradine Case |
THE PARADINE CASE is a David O. Selznick production directed by Alfred Hitchcock in 1947. Ethel Barrymore was nominated for the Academy Award in the Best Actress in a Supporting Role category.
London, 1946. Mrs. Paradine's counsellor, Charles Coburn, asks the well-known lawyer Gregory Peck to help him defend his client. Mrs. Paradine is charged with the murder of her blind husband. Peck, happily married until now with Ann Todd, falls violently in love with the beautiful Alida-Mrs. Paradine-Valli and believes her to be innocent of the crime despite all the evidences.
