| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The Way of the Gun |
Two criminals kidnap the pregnant surrogate mother of a rich, powerful money launderer. The kidnappers want $15 million. The rich man sends the money along with a bunch of his goons. The kidnappers manage to shoot most of the men, but the head bagman, who turns out to be the girl's father, is able to take the kidnappers down. He shoots them in the legs, but he lets them live. He returns the girl, the baby and the money to the rich man. The two kidnappers are left laying on the ground bleeding, much worse off than they were before.

THE WAY OF THE GUN is a movie written and directed by Christopher McQuarrie in 2000.
Benicio Del Toro and Ryan Phillippe kidnap Juliette Lewis, a young woman who for $1 million has agreed to be a surrogate mother. But the paying father is a powerful gangster who is not happy at all. The end of the journey for Benicio and Ryan will be a brothel in Mexico where they will wait for the baby to come.
Highly recommended. Directed by the writer of THE USUAL SUSPECTS's screenplay.
