| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The Hit (1984) |
THE HIT is a movie directed by Stephen Frears in 1984.
Ten years ago, Terence Stamp has made a deal with the british police. He gave the name of his criminal partners in exchange for liberty. Now, he's in Spain and is still waiting for his old pals to reappear. One day, John Hurt and Tim Roth, two hitmen, kidnap him. So begins a long journey by car through Spain. But nothing seems to happen in the right way. They're soon obliged to take with them Laura del Sol, a young prostitute, and Terence Stamp delivers philosophical thoughts instead of being scared. Furthermore the spanish police is coming nearer and Tim Roth doesn't understand the sudden changes of mind of John Hurt.
Masterpiece.
