| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Nightwatch (1998) |
NIGHTWATCH (1998) is the remake, made in Hollywood, of a danish movie Ole Bordenal had written and directed four years before in his native country. Bornedal was given the opportunity by Miramax to direct the remake of his own movie.
Ewan McGregor is a student who's just found a job as a night watchman at the local morgue. Meanwhile, the city is terrorized by a killer who has the habit to tear off the eyes of the prostitutes he murders. City cop Nick Nolte spends a lot of time in the morgue where he makes the acquaintance of McGregor.
