SIDE STREET is a MGM production directed by Anthony Mann in 1950.
NYC. Farley Granger is a postman who's got the opportunity to steal $30,000.- from a lawyer specialized in the blackmail business. But soon, tortured by guilt, Farley feels the urge to leave his pregnant wife to whom he cannot but lie in order to find a way to return the money to its owner. Unfortunately, he's himself robbed by the man he had entrusted the money to and is soon the target of the lawyer's criminal associates. Furthermore, the New-York police is coming nearer.
