Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Le Dernier Combat (The Last Combat)
The story takes place in a post-holocaust world, where apparently Man has lost the ability to speak. The whole of the movie is played silent. Our Hero, whose name we do not know during the course of the movie, is living in the ramshackle remnants of civilization, where even getting pure water is a struggle. He manages to escape from the tyrannical Man in the White Suit in a homemade airplane and goes to the City. The state of affairs is bad there too, of course, with a Brute man terrorizing a Doctor who is holed up in an old hospital. Our Hero battles the Brute one day, falls in a sewer, and then finds himself inside the hospital. He becomes friends with the Doctor. He finds out that the doctor is protecting (?) a Woman from the Brute man (maybe his daughter?), and has her locked up in a cell. The Brute man is finally able to break into the hospital, and the two men must face up to him. Our Hero is unable to save the Doctor or the Woman, but he manages to kill the Brute man. He then returns to the Man in the White Suit, takes over his dominions and finds out that another Woman is now available for him.
