MOONRISE is a movie directed by Frank Borzage in 1948. Nominated for the academy award in the "Best sound, recording category".
Virginia. Dane Clark's father has been hanged for murder when Dane was still a child. Dane has suffered his whole life from this event and is persuaded that there is a "bad blood" running in his veins. One night, he accidentally kills Lloyd Bridges and hides his corpse in the swamps. But his strange behaviour troubles his girlfriend Gail Russell and the sheriff of the town. Tortured by guilt, Dane prefers to run away without having tried to explain to the authorities what has really happened.
