| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Shock Corridor |
SHOCK CORRIDOR is a movie written, produced and directed by Samuel Fuller in 1963.
Peter Breck, an ambitious young journalist, fakes a mental illness in order to enter a mental institution as a patient. He wants to discover by himself who's responsible for the death of Stuart, another patient who recently died. Peter must endure countless examinations of the hospital's psychiatrists and even electrical treatment. Soon, his girl-friend Constance Towers remarks that Peter is losing little by little his sanity but the chief editor has faith in Peter's ability to control the situation. Meanwhile, Peter is questioning the patients who witnessed what has happened to Stuart.
