Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Three To Tango
The story of Oscar Novak (Matthew Perry) and his business partner, Peter (Oliver Platt), who go to Charles Newman (Dylan McDermott) for a contracting job. Charles decides to make it a race and challenges the two rivals to make the best design by a certain time to see who gets the big job. Charles also ends up thinking that Oscar is gay, and asks him to spy on his girlfriend, Amy (Neve Campbell). He does so, and Oscar and Amy become good friends. Through Charles, Amy also thinks Oscar is gay. Things turn around and Oscar falls in love with Amy, but she loves Charles (who has a wife also). Soon, Oscar becomes famous and it is announced in the newspaper that he is gay. His friends freak out and everybody starts to think he is gay. But he cannot bring himself to tell Amy. This hysterical story continues, with a nice undertone of swing music to set the tone.
