A woman is a small town housewife who has lost her memory of her past. She becomes aware of certain skills she possesses. After a car accident, she begins to recall flashes of her past. Her latest private detective (she's had many) has come up with a lead as to her identity. She joins him on a quest to find herself. While on this journey and staying at a hotel, she begins to realize what her special skills are for and how to use them. However, she is still wrestling with her dark side and her good side. She changes her long cury brown hair to a short bleached bob, and plasters on the makeup. She plans to meet with a man whom she was supposed to have known in her past. Although, once they meet she doesn't trust him. So, she leaves him stranded. Later, she agrees to meet with him, only to find that he's been killed and that someone else is there to meet her. These two men who have shown up in his place, torture her at a barn, convinced that she knows about a spy operation. Since she cannot recall these events yet, she just mocks them and spits at them and acts tough. As they torture her by tying her to a wheel which rotates to place her whole body underwater, (during which her white clothing becomes wet and partially see-through)she manages to free herself and obtain a gun and comes up shooting. The rest of the movie is kidnapping, chasing and killing. Towards the end of the movie, she must rescue her daughter and her newfound friend, the private investigator. Thrilling sequence of events, great movie for both men and women. I've watched it again and again.
