Review Summary and Plot Commentary about Analyze That
Mob boss Paul Vitti is released from prision and then sent into the hands of psychiatrist, Ben Sobel. There Ben tries to find out what has been going wrong in Paul's life. Ben suggests that Paul should turn his life around and reccomends getting a job. He eventually starts acting and hilarious things start to happen with the Mafia and their careers as two different people try to work together.
--Jack Bauer, Resident Scholar

Billy Crystal returns as the psychiatrist who was assigned to trest Robert DeNiro's character, and Lisa Kudrow is now the psychiatrist's wife. Lots of other things have changed, too: DeNiro has landed a starring role on the Sopranos, and he meets Tony Soprano, the most famous member of that family. But he still has doubts, and he sneaks off to see Crystal, although the Mafia still forbids it.
--Teddy, Resident Scholar

This is a sequel to Analyze This. Robert DeNiro plays a mob boss who gets released from prison in the custody of his psychiatrist, Billy Crystal, by acting as if he is crazy. After DeNiro is released from prison, he tries to right the wrongs is his life after trying several ways to go "straight and narrow" path.
--K Lininger, Resident Scholar

Robert De Niro and Billy Crystal pair up again in the sequel to the hilarious Analyze This, in Analyze That. Though this movie isn't as funny as the first one, the bloopers are hysterical. The story is about Paul Vitti (De Niro) who has had recent assasination attemps on his life, so he fakes psychosis and has his past psychiatrist, Ben Sobel (Crystal), get him out. Once he does, he tries to go straight and get a regular job. He finally ends up working on a TV show very much like the Sopranos. But he has another trick up his sleave. Once he finds out who has been trying to kill him, he sets them up by stealing a whole bunch of gold and framing them with it.
--Michael Gookin, Resident Scholar
