| Review Summary and Plot Commentary about The Gingerbread Man |
Based on a John Grisham story, THE GINGERBREAD MAN is a movie directed by Robert Altman in 1998.
Kenneth Branagh is a successful lawyer who's seduced one night by Embeth Davidtz. In spite of the reluctance of his partner Daryl Hannah, Branagh accepts to take Davidtz's case and help her locking up her father Robert Duvall in a mental hospital. But Duvall escapes and Branagh fears that Duvall might take revenge on Davidtz and on him. When his own children are kidnapped, Branagh forgets his ethical principles, takes a gun and decides to make his own justice. But is Duvall really guilty ? Hasnt' Branagh been set up ?
